Sisk enhances construction monitoring with DroneDeploy platform

Irish construction and engineering company Sisk has implemented DroneDeploy’s reality capture platform to support faster inspections, higher data accuracy, and real-time visibility across more than 20 projects in Ireland and the UK.

The programme has expanded from initial pilot projects to a multi-year enterprise agreement, incorporating aerial drones and 360-degree cameras for geospatial data capture. The technology is currently deployed across key developments including Dublin’s Glass Bottle project and the Kex Gill road realignment scheme in Yorkshire.

DroneDeploy enables Sisk teams to capture, analyse, and share high-resolution site data for progress tracking, design verification, and stakeholder communication. Automated features include earthworks analysis, aerial progress tracking, and logistics planning, reducing reliance on manual surveys and site visits while improving project coordination and safety.

According to Sisk, unified visual data supports alignment between subcontractors, design teams, and owners by providing a single source of truth across project phases. The platform allows teams to validate work in place and monitor construction stages effectively across multiple sites.

Cillian Kelly, head of digital project delivery at Sisk, said the platform provides speed and accuracy previously unavailable, allowing teams to plan and collaborate more efficiently. Project director Kieran Crowley added that DroneDeploy delivers a real-time visual record across sites, improving operational transparency and integration in complex infrastructure and building projects.

The adoption of aerial reality capture is positioned to enhance safety management, streamline project logistics, and support decision-making throughout the construction lifecycle. Its use across both road and life sciences campus projects demonstrates versatility in applying advanced technology to diverse infrastructure projects.
