CMiC, a US-based construction technology company, has launched Nexus, an AI-driven Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform designed to enhance project management, financial oversight, and operational efficiency for construction teams. The platform integrates more than 25 intelligent AI agents to automate routine tasks and provide actionable insights.

Nexus enables construction teams to interact with data using natural language, allowing users to generate balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents in minutes rather than hours. Project management functions are also enhanced: AI automatically uploads drawings, extracts sheet numbers and titles, organises specification books into trade sections with CSI codes, and pre-fills submittal records, reducing manual workload and potential errors.

The Project Pulse Dashboard uses sentiment analysis on daily journal entries to detect emerging issues such as delays or safety concerns before they affect project outcomes. Analytics tools democratise access to data, enabling team members to ask questions and receive instant insights regardless of technical expertise.

Agent-driven automation handles a wide range of tasks across financials and project management, from master cost code maintenance to bank reconciliation and financial impact analysis. This allows staff to focus on higher-value strategic work while standardised processes are executed autonomously.

The platform also incorporates a modern user interface built on Material 3 design principles, improving visual clarity, readability, and the speed of information processing. According to CMiC, Nexus unifies workflows across teams and projects, providing a centralised, real-time view of construction operations.

Steve Cangiano, CMiC’s Chief Product Officer, stated that Nexus transforms the way construction teams interact with ERP systems, combining agentic workflows, AI insights, and integrated tools into a single platform. The system aims to enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and improve efficiency across construction projects in the US and internationally.
